History of Stop Smoking Campaign

The Americans under the health field saw the demand for a stop smoking campaign in the 1960s, when studies showed relations between use of cigarettes and rates of lung cancer. Via TV, the most up-to-date media back then, researches revealed their findings results to public. That TV announcement did change the habits many citizens.

That settlement indicates the good goals held by health professionals and government side. However, it didn’t bring an end towards the campaign directed at smokers. While in the first decade of the 21st Century, the govt came up with another significant move. It mandated major changes in the nature of the warning that have to show up on a cigarette package.

The U.S. govt has reminded tobacco company that a few words of caution would not be enough. In the coming months their production facilities must get ready to make a packaging that displays a very graphic image.
